March 7, 2020 — at a town hall meeting in Flint, Michigan, candidate for President of the United States, Bernie Sanders, was met with resounding praise and applause. Held on the campus of Mott Community College, this meeting focused on matters of social justice. Specifically, Sanders and the panel of speakers emphasized the need for economic and racial justice.
Recently having expressed a near fanatic support of Fidel Castro’s revolutionary government in Cuba, Sanders was asked by one panelist how he felt his administration would handle the income disparity between small, independent farmers and corporate agrarian conglomerates.
To which Sanders replied with an exasperated Brooklynite tone while throwing his hands in the air, “Look, to kill the grass you must, first, also remove the root.”
Feeling prompted to expand upon what he meant by the confused looks in the crowd, Sanders continued, “A lot of positive things can be said about Khmer Rouge and the things that came about under Pol Pot’s leadership, and furthermore we can learn a lot from Chairman Mao’s Great Leap Forward. Under Chairman Mao, poverty died out almost entirely, and the Sparrows too!”
With extraordinarily vigorous finger-wagging for a man so advanced in age, Sanders continued, “And another thing, the United States could use its own Great Leap Forward.”
When asked by a panelist about Pol Pot being directly responsible for the death of one-third of Cambodia’s population and Chairman Mao’s Great Leap Forward killing close to 40,000,000 human beings, Sanders dismissed these claims as “capitalist talking points” and “anti-Mao hysteria spread by the Sparrows.”
At one point considered to be the front runner for the Democratic Party’s nomination to face President Trump in the general election, it now appears as though Comrade Sanders’ campaign is beginning to fizzle out in light of the Democrat’s getting in line behind Joe Biden’s candidacy, for some reason.
However, Sanders’ political career does not need to come to an end just because he got shafted by the Democrats again. He may very well end up pursuing political office in Nicolas Maduro’s Venezuela, as he refuses to recognize the actually democratically elected President(Juan Gerardo Guaidó Márquez).
